Skill badges are coming — and employers will search by them
The way graduate hiring works right now is backwards. Graduates submit applications. Applications pile up. Employers filter by degree and GPA because those are the only signals available. Talented graduates from Ruhuna, Sabaragamuwa, or Vavuniya never make the shortlist — not because they are not qualified, but because their CV looks identical to everyone else's and the filter never finds them.
Loazi is fixing this at the structural level — not by making job applications easier, but by changing what employers search for in the first place.
Starting in June 2026, Loazi will launch verified skill badges on the platform. These are structured certifications tied to completed courses and assessed outcomes: Excel Advanced, Python Fundamentals, Business Writing, and Data Analysis are the first four. Each badge is issued after a verified assessment — not just course enrollment. Employers searching for candidates on Loazi will be able to filter directly by which badges a graduate holds.
This matters because it changes the discovery model. A graduate from Jaffna with a Python badge who has never submitted an application to Virtusa becomes visible to a Virtusa recruiter searching for Python-proficient graduates in June. The application is no longer the first contact. The profile is.
For graduates, the implication is straightforward: the earlier you build your verified skills record on Loazi, the more employer-facing time your profile accumulates before you enter the job market. A graduate who joins in May and earns two skill badges by July enters the August hiring cycle with a verified, searchable profile — not just a submitted CV.
Loazi is pre-launch and building in public. The core platform is live at loazi.org for early sign-ups. Skill badges launch June 2026. Company Courses — where employers build structured learning pathways directly on Loazi and candidates can demonstrate interest by completing them — follow the same month. Virtual Work Experience launches in July.
If you are a 2026 or 2027 graduate in Sri Lanka, this is the platform to be on before the market figures it out. Join early at loazi.org.
