The Loazi employer dashboard: hiring beyond Colombo
Most hiring platforms in Sri Lanka work the same way: post a job, receive CVs, shortlist manually, interview. The process is slow, heavily reliant on proximity to Colombo, and systematically biased toward candidates with connections rather than proven skills.
Loazi is building a different infrastructure. And this week we want to be transparent about what we are working on.
What the Employer Dashboard Does
The Loazi employer dashboard is designed to give hiring managers a new way to find candidates — one that does not depend on who submitted a CV or who happened to attend a career fair in Colombo.
Here is how it works:
Every graduate who builds a Loazi profile has their skills verified against completed courses, projects, and assessments on the platform. When an employer logs into the dashboard, they can filter the entire graduate pool by specific, verified skills. Python developer, two years of study, verified coursework completion — searchable in seconds.
They can also filter by location (including outside Colombo), by degree type, by industry interest, and by engagement signals — graduates who have completed courses relevant to the role, who have demonstrated interest in the company, and who have active profiles. This is a fundamentally different signal than a stack of CVs.
Why This Matters for Sri Lanka
The brain drain problem is, at its core, a visibility problem. 30% of graduates leave within two years. Over half of state university graduates migrate permanently. Groundviews classified it a national emergency in March 2026.
But when you ask graduates why they leave, the answer is rarely that they wanted to. It is that they could not find a path forward at home. They could not get in front of the right employer. They were invisible.
The employer dashboard is Loazi's structural answer to that. If a company in Colombo can search for and find a verified Python developer from the University of Jaffna in thirty seconds — alongside their completed coursework, their project portfolio, and their demonstrated interest in the role — the geographic disadvantage disappears. The talent pool for Sri Lankan companies becomes the whole country, not just the students who happened to be near Colombo.
Where We Are Now
Loazi is pre-launch, building toward a 2026 release. The employer dashboard is one of the core features in active development. Here is what is coming:
- Skill verification tied to course completions on the platform
- Employer search and filter across the full graduate pool
- Company-published courses that graduates can complete to signal direct interest
- Verified profile badges visible to employers at a glance
- A mobile app for graduates to build and update their profile from anywhere
We are not yet live, but we are building in public and we want graduates to be part of it from the beginning. The earlier you build your Loazi profile, the more visible you will be when employers start searching.
Visit loazi.org and build your profile now. We will find you a company that can see what you are actually worth.
